About Me & This Blog

Christianity From The Margins is a platform for thought-provoking reflections on faith and spirituality. My goal is to provide insights that can be applied to everyday life and encourage deeper engagement with Christian teachings.

I was initially a Presbyterian Minister, then transferred to the Moravian Church. Before retiring, over the years I served as a Minister of 5 congregations, covering both rural and urban parishes in Northern Ireland.

I no longer identify with a particular denomination, but I retain my membership of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans and the Society of Ordained Scientists. My interests are eclectic but focus very much on social justice and mental health advocacy.

I have degrees in Marine Biology, Business Management, Immunology, Theology, Divinity, and Philosophy & Mental Health. I also hold Professional Diplomas in Logotherapy & Existential Analysis, Advanced Jungian Psychology, and Jungian Dream Analysis.

In the past I have held positions including Research & Development Manager, Learning & Service Innovation Manager, Animal Health Economist, Chief Examiner, and Managing Director. I have lived and worked in Scotland, Ireland, Norway and New Zealand.

I bring that mix of education and work experience to bear on my worldview and to constantly look for new avenues of thought and perspective.

I am currently a Psychotherapist in private practice and a Lecturer.

My posts will likely be sporadic!

May you feel the presence of God in all that you do.
